COVID-19 Information & Resources
As part of our effort to protect you and others against COVID-19, we make it a priority to adhere to the all safety protocols put in place on a state and national level.
During your visit with us, a clinical staff member will ask the following questions:
- Age
- Assess for fever/take the patient’s temperature.
- Are you currently having symptoms of shortness of breath or cough, or at least two of these symptoms:
- Fever
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
4. Have you had contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
5. Have you been tested for COVID-19 recently?
Any fever or yes replies to the questions, the patient will be asked to return to their car and alert clinical staff for further curbside triage.
** Fever defined: patients under 65 years of age, 100.0 and ages 65 and up, 99.6
COVID-19 Vaccines
Helping our patients and community members access the COVID-19 vaccine quickly and easily is our priority. Cherokee Health Systems is offering COVID-19 vaccines daily at all of our health centers. We are launching community events to vaccinate in accordance with the State of Tennessee vaccine categories. For more information, please contact us at 1-866-231-4477.

Become a Cherokee Health Systems' Community COVID-19 Ambassador
As a Community COVID-19 Ambassador, you will receive a $200 monthly stipend for talking with others about the value of COVID-19 prevention measures 1-3 hours per week. You will receive more details if you are selected to be a part of the program. Click here to fill out our interest form.

What is COVID-19?
COVID -19 is the disease caused by the new coronavirus that can affect organs involved in breathing, including your lungs, nose, and throat. It is diagnosed with a laboratory test.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
People with these symptoms or combinations of symptoms may have COVID-19:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Or at least two of these symptoms:
- Fever
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
How can I help protect myself?
CHS is offering COVID-19 vaccines at our clinics. If you are interested in getting vaccinated, call us at 1-866-231-4477.
To protect yourself:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Make arrangements to get your COVID-19 vaccine.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
What if I am sick?
- If you are sick, you should:
- Stay home and avoid contact with other people and animals
- Wash your hands at least once an hour
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Avoid sharing household and personal items like glasses and phones
- Wash all items you have touched
